General Power of Attorney (Mukhtar Nama Aam)
A General Power of Attorney (known in Pakistan as Mukhtar Nama Aam) is a legal instrument that grants another person broad authority to act on your behalf in financial, legal, and property-related matters. It is widely used by overseas Pakistanis, elderly citizens, and those unable to be physically present for transactions.
§When You Need This
- •Overseas Pakistanis managing property in Pakistan
- •Authorizing a family member to handle banking or court matters
- •Delegating authority for property purchase or sale
- •Unable to attend government offices in person

Court Proceedings: To appoint advocates, sign pleadings, attend court hearings and conduct all litigation on my behalf before any court or tribunal in Pakistan.

Government Offices: To appear before NADRA, revenue offices, housing authorities and any government department and sign all documents on my behalf.
- •
General Authority: To do all such acts, deeds and things as may be necessary or expedient for the purposes mentioned above.
I hereby confirm and ratify all acts done by my said Attorney in pursuance of this Power of Attorney.
This Power of Attorney shall remain valid until revoked in writing by me.
