Important — Phase 8 carries active legal disputes:
- •RDA Sealing (August 2024): Rawalpindi Development Authority sealed several illegal commercial buildings under the Punjab Development of Cities Act and RDA Building & Zoning Regulations 2021
- •FIRs filed in 2025: Against Bahria Town management for alleged encroachments on Soan River bank, sale of plots in unapproved zones, and discharge of sewage into the river channel
- •Unapproved Extensions: Phase 8 Extension zones have serious demolition/delay risk
